Meet Your Secretariat

Annmarie Hashimoto

Secretary General
Greetings! My name is Annmarie Hashimoto, and I am a rising senior from the American School In Japan. This will be my third year attending NBMUN, and after participating as both delegate and chair, I am now honored to be able to serve as Secretary General for NBMUN 2022! Given the current situation of the pandemic, I am excited to be part of an MUN conference that can unite various schools together; I believe that one of the great aspects of MUN is the ability to get to know new students and foster friendships across the world. I hope each of you will have gain something you can take away from this conference, and I look forward to meeting you all in September! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at 23hashimotoa@asij.ac.jp.

Vivian Chiu

Deputy Secretary General
Welcome to No Borders MUN III! I am Vivian Chiu, a senior from the International Bilingual School at Tainan Science Park in Taiwan, and this will be my third year attending NBMUN. Though our world is becoming more globalized and advanced every second, many injustices continue to plague the international community. Remember, even one idea, point of information, speech, or amendment is an important step in paving the way for a more just world. I look forward to seeing you all at No Borders MUN III and making this conference as educational, memorable, and exciting as possible!

Luke Plein

Under Secretary General
I believe in the power of MUN. As growing international crises challenge the fabric of global cooperation, MUN has become more relevant and important in fostering common understanding and a sense of community amongst future leaders.
My belief in the importance of collaboration has been gained through various experiences over the past few years as a MUN delegate, chair, trainer, and now a secretariat member. I am privileged to help lead this conference; NBMUN is an invaluable opportunity to further community-building in a way that focuses on the resolution of conflicts while cultivating interest in global politics.
I hope that students seek this conference as an opportunity to engage with students who are also enthusiastic about sharing and debating current events and connecting with others who have common interests through MUN

Yeon-Jeon Jordan Kim

Under Secretary General
Hello everyone. My name is Jordan Kim, a junior at Seoul International School, and I will be serving as the Under Secretary-General of No Borders MUN III. Model United Nations has been one of my greatest passions since middle school. As budding youth leaders, we have the potential to construct a more positive world but only if we cooperate with each other. That is why MUN is so dear to my heart. As I witness issues like climate change, global security, and wealth inequality exacerbate, I feel an urge to get myself involved to solve the problem: MUN is where this action starts.

Betty Lee

Marketing Manager
Hello Delegates! I am Betty Lee (she/her/hers), a junior at Daegu International School, Korea. Passionate about anti-racism and justice, I hope to have a meaningful connection with you through this year's NBMUN experience. Although I was nowhere close to a top delegate when I began, MUN holds a special place in my heart because it introduced a whole new world of mastery to me. I've learned public speaking, interacted with people from all around the world, and cooperated with them on global issues based on different stakeholders. These experiences have been valuable in making me who I am now, and I hope to present the same opportunity to you. Good luck, everyone-- I hope you enjoy this year's NBMUN!
