The first No Borders MUN began not only as an event to provide students an opportunity to participate in MUN in times when all offline conferences were closed, but also as an initiative to support those in need through charitable efforts. The participation fee was set to $5, which were all directly donated to charitable organizations by students (verified through receipts during delegate registration). We were able to raise over $800 USD for children and families in need worldwide through UNICEF and others designated by students.
With No Borders MUN 2021, we were able to donate $1,500 to UNICEF. Out of the $15 participation fee, our goal was to donate $10 to UNICEF and use the remaining $5 to cover any operational costs (such as Zoom and website hosting). All relevant receipts are available below. |
